The images in the advertisement are misleading. In fact, the housing is not that solid. The insert bottom is thin. The housing is fine for the price. I have it outside and my cat is using it. For the cat house I give 3 out of 5 stars

Nice cat house, big enough for 2 cats but good luck getting 2 in there without them attacking each other. It is very light so may blow away in the wind but other than that, it is great and the cats love it
